I am a 5th Generation Grantonian, founding member of Royston Wardieburn Community Council which launched 15 years ago, currently Granton and District Community Council. I helped to found Royston Wardieburn Community Centre.
I was proudly selected as the first community chair taking on the clean, green and safe action group which dealt with cleansing and environment services and issues of public safety concerns and improvement’s which included the environmental budget to help tackle such issues. I have also served on numerous boards and community organisations over the last thirty years and advised on the setting up of many others including Tenants and Residents association, youth groups and facilities.
I have taken a keen interest and lent my full support to a number of diverse groups such as CORE (Community Organisation for Racial Equality), The Pensioners forum and Care for Carers. Currently. At present, I hold the positions of Vice Chair of Forth Neighbourhood Partnerships and Planning Officer for the Granton and District Community Council.
