Have you say on hosting parades and processions in Edinburgh. A consultation launched
by the City of Edinburgh Council on the rules and guidance around holding parades and processions, including protest marches. The public are being asked for their feedback on a new policy and code of conduct providing more clarity on the process for staging a public procession. Under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, anyone organising a parade or procession in Scotland must notify the appropriate local authority and the police at least 28 days prior to the date of the event.
